We are proud to announce that Stick-Friend, a student team from Svalyava Vocational College, has been named the national winner of the JA Company Program in Ukraine and will represent the country at Gen-E 2025 in Athens, Greece.
Stick-Friend impressed judges with its smart walking stick — an innovative solution aimed at improving mobility and personal safety for people with movement challenges. Equipped with an SOS button, GPS tracker, and built-in flashlight, the device provides real-time assistance and a greater sense of independence for elderly individuals, people with disabilities, and veterans recovering from injuries.
Beyond its technical features, Stick-Friend demonstrates the power of inclusive design and highlights how young entrepreneurs can address real social needs through creativity, empathy, and practical innovation.
