Moneta Works, the Serbian national winning student company, is on a mission to make financial literacy more accessible, engaging and meaningful for young people and families. Their innovative product, the board game Budget Boss, was created as a creative response to the growing lack of financial education among children and teenagers.
By combining entertaining gameplay with real-life financial challenges, Budget Boss encourages players to develop practical skills such as budgeting, saving, investing and responsible money management. Through interactive tasks and decision-making scenarios, the game transforms complex financial concepts into a fun and memorable experience.
At the same time, the students behind Moneta Works wanted to create something that would reconnect families in an era increasingly shaped by screens and digital disconnection. Their game encourages parents and children to spend quality time together, communicate, solve problems as a team and navigate different life situations while learning how to make financial decisions and build trust together.
With their passion for education, innovation and social impact, Natalija, Mijat, Masha and Angela hope to inspire a new generation to feel more confident and informed when managing money while also strengthening communication and connection within families.
We look forward to meeting the team in Riga, Latvia during the #Gen_E 2026!
