BioAnglers and TarjousMatch to Represent Finland at Gen-E 2025 in Athens

At the National Final, held in Helsinki on April 23–24, 2025, Finland selected its top student companies to compete at the Gen-E European Entrepreneurship Championships in Athens this July. The winners of the youth entrepreneurship competition were BioAnglers, focusing on sustainable development and a fishing brand, and TarjousMatch (“BidMatch”), a service for comparing painting contract bids.

Best Company 2025 – Primary and Secondary Schools: BioAnglers NYT

Etu-Töölö Upper Secondary School, Helsinki

Business idea: BioAnglers NYT offers sustainable fishing gear, specializing in innovative biodegradable soft baits that do not harm the environment.

“We want to provide better bait options for anglers, making fishing cleaner, greener, and more enjoyable for everyone!”

Jury’s comment: A strong environmental innovation with global market potential. The team demonstrated excellent presentation skills, strong business understanding, and collaboration with scientific partners.

Best Company 2025 – Higher Education: TarjousMatch NYT

Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences, Helsinki

Business idea: TarjousMatch NYT connects households and housing associations with reliable painting contractors through an easy-to-use platform that ensures transparent and fair bidding processes.

“We don’t just connect parties — we ensure smooth, well-documented tendering for all.”

Jury’s comment: A polished service concept with strong financial planning and market knowledge. The entrepreneurs demonstrated clear professionalism and a customer-focused approach.

Both companies will proudly represent Finland at Gen-E 2025 – the largest entrepreneurship festival for young people in Europe, organized by JA Europe, taking place in Athens, Greece.
